And the Half Light

And the Half Light includes a work written by Mindy for the AAO that traces her passage from her home in north-western China to the UK and eventually Melbourne, where she now calls home. Cocoon integrates traditional Chinese instruments with the sounds Mindy encountered in the London avant-garde scene.

In a rare meeting of musical traditions Mindy will also perform a duo with Tokyo-based, Miyama McQueen-Tokita, a Japanese zither (koto) virtuoso and leading figure in Japan’s contemporary music scene. TICKETS AND DETAILS
