Lachlan holds a Bachelor of Arts, Music (1985), A.Mus.A. (Saxophone, 1980)
An accomplished doubler, Lachlan is in great demand around Melbourne as a freelance musician. He has featured with Stevie Wonder and Mark Levine, played with Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles, and appeared on many CDs. He leads his own jazz quartet, unLokked which released a CD A hot night in Burwood in May 2000. He has appeared as a soloist with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, plays lead Alto Saxophone with the Australian Showband, Soprano Saxophone with the Melbourne Saxophone Quartet and is also a published composer of solo Saxophone, Saxophone Quartet and Big Band works.
Lachlan is also World Mini Quest Catamaran Champion and his juggling skills (four balls at once) can be observed in the AAO's Concerto for Piano, Accordingly.
Lachlan is currently a member of the John Farnham band. He also performs in the orchestra and does arrangements for Channel Seven's hit show Dancing With The Stars.
He has written the score to a musical based on The Getting of Wisdom to be performed in 2005.
