Dan Barnett

Voice

Sydney Conservatorium Jazz Studies graduate, Dan Barnett, began his musical life as a trombonist studying with greats such as James Morrison, Conrad Herwig, Bruce Paulson, Steve Turre and Dan Barrett. He quickly developed a love for singing and has since studied with the much respected Sydney teacher, Patricia Oertel, and with Mike Campbell and Miles Griffith (USA).

Dan has worked with James Morrison, Tom Burlinson, Barbara Morrison (USA), Bob Barnard, George Washingmachine and Kevin Hunt. With his band, Dan has performed at Thredbo, Manly and The Highlands Jazz Festivals, River Festival (Brisbane), Jazz in the Domain, Wyndham Estate, Leeuwin Estate, AFI Awards, Lord Howe, Hamilton and Hayman Islands and on tours of Thailand, Taiwan and the USA. His latest cd, The Right Track, which includes tracks from his big band and five-piece combination, has recently been released on LaBrava Music.
