The Australian Art Orchestra is looking for a Marketing Associate.

THE AUSTRALIAN ART ORCHESTRA

The Australian Art Orchestra (AAO) was founded by Paul Grabowsky in 1994 and is one of Australia’s leading contemporary music ensembles. Led since 2013 by composer/trumpeter/sound artist Peter Knight, its work seeks to stretch genres and break down the barriers separating disciplines, forms and cultures. It explores the interstices between the avant-garde and the traditional, between art and popular music, between electronic and acoustic approaches, and creates music that traverses the continuum between improvised and notated forms.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Marketing Associate has a vital role in a small team. The position is focused on the delivery of dynamic marketing across different online and print platforms, reflecting the ethos of the Australian Art Orchestra and appealing to new and existing audiences.

The Marketing Associate is charged with developing and maintaining all of AAO’s online and offline marketing resources including social media, newsletters, and websites. They will liaise with stakeholders, sponsors and partners where necessary, and report to AAO’s Executive Director. The Marketing Associate will work closely with the Artistic Director and Executive Director in developing and delivering strategic marketing and communications plans.

This new role has recently been created, at an exciting time in the AAO’s development. For the right candidate, there is potential for the role to expand and develop alongside the organisation’s expected growth in the coming years and to contribute meaningfully to our small, dedicated team.
