Biddy Connor
Biddy Connor is a Melbourne-based composer, performer, and producer who gravitates toward the in-between: the conversation between acoustic and electronic, the personal story made collective, the music that belongs to a particular place or moment. Across ensembles including The Letter String Quartet, Golden Sands, and Light Burst, she brings the same restless curiosity to string quartet, electro-acoustic collective, and intimate duo work alike. A 2025 recipient of both the APRA AMCOS Art Music Fund and the Johnny Dennis Music Award, her recent work includes the score for Isobel Knowles and Van Sowerwine's award-winning XR installation The World Came Flooding In, which has toured to Rotterdam, Vienna, Paris, Berlin, and Annecy. She has performed at Dark Mofo, Womadelaide, the Aranya Theatre Festival in China, and has worked with artists including John Cale, The Breeders, Mick Harvey, Richard Frankland, and Evelyn Ida Morris. Biddy is Special Projects Producer at Speak Percussion.
